Linea Petite Vessel
The first of two small unglazed pieces in the Linea collection. 3.5 by 3 by 3 inches — small enough to sit on a desk, a windowsill, or a stack of books without asking the eye to rearrange the rest of the surface. Lynn presses a wave-like texture into the clay before firing; the surface holds light differently than a smooth wall does, picking up shadow along the wave crests and going matte in the troughs.
No glaze. The high-fired speckled clay is the entire surface — its color, its texture, the place line work appears. This is the Linea collection's quiet end: where the planters and vase use line as bright stripes, the small vessels use line as pressed gesture on raw clay.
Not water-tight. Best for dried botanicals, single fresh stems with minimal water (change daily), or as a small object holding nothing at all. Handbuilt by Lynn.
