Linea Small Bud Vase

The Bud Vase is the companion to the Petite Vessel — same scale, same unglazed clay, same approach. The difference is the surface texture: where the Petite Vessel runs a wave-like pattern, the Bud Vase runs a linear one — straight lines pressed into the clay before firing, parallel and slightly irregular in the hand way that printed lines never are.

4 by 3 by 3 inches. Sized for a single bud — one stem of something just opened, a sprig of herbs from the garden, a length of dried grass that needed somewhere to stand. The linear texture catches the eye at close range; from across the room the piece reads as a quiet vertical against whatever it sits on.

Not water-tight; minimal water and frequent changes. Handbuilt by Lynn.
